Here’s the latest from GoTriangle that impacts plan finances:
- March 5, 2019: GoTriangle sends letter to President Price recommending mediated solution.
- February 27, 2019: Duke University Won’t Back Light Rail, Herald
- February 8, 2019: GoTriangle rally at Durham Station at Pettigrew Station. Many speakers blame Duke for impass. Herald article.
- February 1, 2019: Citizens file lawsuit against GoTriangle. Durham and Chapel Hill noise ordinances do not apply to 40 at-grade crossings along 18 mile corridor. See list of at-grade crossings. Neighbors Take GoTriangle to Court
- January 10, 2019: Meeting Durham and Orange county leaders asked to consider backstopping project costs as price tag rises by $300-$500 million. The Finance Task Force Report from that meeting was received through public records request, and can be viewed here.
- December 2018: Projections provided in GoTriangle Transit Oriented Development’s “Guidebook” inflate revenues, understate costs. Presentations to County Commission here.
